Public Housing

Leasing Office
The North Little Rock Housing Authority manages and maintains over 1,000 units in 8 apartment communities throughout the city of North Little Rock. The purpose of the public housing program is to provide affordable rental housing for eligible low-income families, seniors and people with disabilities who cannot afford to pay market rents. We believe housing is about people and we promote training, educational opportunities and economic self-sufficiency to improve the quality of peoples’ lives.

North Little Rock Housing Authority has a centralized Leasing Office where we maintain a waiting list for all of our developments. The Leasing Office handles the application process for Public Housing.

Eligibility for the public housing program is determined by family composition, past rental history with other subsidized housing programs, criminal history and income guidelines determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The current waiting period for an apartment is from 3 - 12 months depending on availability and bedroom size.
